As I usually do, I waited until I could get front-row seats to see La Femme.
Having already seen “Fantasy” and “Crazy Girls”, I was expecting something totally different from this show.
I mean, “Celebration of the Artistry of the Nude” is so much more nose-upward than “No Ifs Ands or Butts” that Crazy Girls uses as a slogan.
But to me, they were the same show with different costumes and lighting. Same lipsynching, similar choreography, similar theater. I didn’t find it more or less “classy” than either of the other T&A shows.
I enjoyed it. I enjoyed it like I enjoyed Crazy Girls, but I didn’t necessarily feel more “tasteful” when I was watching this show.
They come out practically naked, but there is an odd little fabric triangle that they use to cover the vagina which looks like public hair …. but isn’t … and that little triangle kind of weirded me out a little. It looked like a fake moustache, for a snatch. Sound weird? Well it is. And it moved around enough so that the vag was exposed every now and then, which made the whole thing pointless. I don’t know why they don’t just send them out naked, but it’s not my call.
Anyway. The show consisted of a bunch of pretty 20-something women lip-syncing to whacky music while prancing around wearing no clothes as different lighting effects were projected onto the stage.
And in a nutshell, that is the show.
Okay, they try to make it more “tasteful” by showing a video about the history of the Crazy Horse Saloon at the beginning of the show, and the whole “European” thing is supposed to make it much more “artistic” than it’s more skanky counterparts, but I never bought this vibe. It’s a Tits and Ass show masquerading as art.
Not that I have anything whatsover against a good tits and ass show, but I just like to be honest with myself and not be deluded into thinking that I am somehow above the guy over at the Spearmint Rhino. The fact is that I am just cheap, and don’t want to tip my strippers … nor do I want to touch them or have them whisper slutty cliche’s in my ear. It doesn’t do anything for me. This is why Vegas T&A shows are perfect for me. I get the nudity without the hassle, and I know up front how much it’s gonna cost me.
As T&A shows go, it is a fine show, and well worth the modest ticket price. You are treated to an hour or so of naked women running around the stage doing goofy stuff.
You may or may not enjoy the purple lights bouncing off her ass, or the swirly light patterns framing her nipples. I didn’t care. They were naked. Shine lights, don’t shine lights, what do I care …
I enjoyed the show, and I recommend seeing the show.
Just be clear as to what you will be getting. You will be seeing a Strip Club show with fancy lighting and less common music. If you want to justify it as “art” in order to see it without feeling like a pervert, that is all well and good. Do what you gotta do.
Regardless of how you justify seeing it, you will probably enjoy it.
