I wasn’t expecting much when walking into Fashionistas. The rather non-descript Empire Ballroom is the antithesis of The Strip.
Set back behind a Walgreens and a Korean restaurant, you would be hard-pressed to find the thing just casually driving by.
I had also never really read a comprehensive review of the show. I had heard some vague things about it being ??erotic?, but then noticed that it wasn’t topless. So I never truly got how they pulled this off.
I just had to find out, though.
The lights went down, and there was a hot Asian chick dancing around while some guy was typing away at a computer keyboard.
I was getting concerned that I was not going to get a boner.
But then the show took off. It had a plot (website guy wants to make some kind of fantasy fetish site), but the plot wasn’t terribly relevant.
There was no dialog, and the show consisted entirely of rock music, dancing, and even some stunts here and there.
But about 15 minutes into the show, I understood how it could be erotic without overt nudity.
The women in the show were smoking hot, and while not nude, they wore little enough to provide visual stimulus. There was also groping. Lots of groping. Especially the girls grouping each other in little more than string bikinis.
You wouldn’t pay $50 to see that by the pool???
How about with girls 10 times hotter than the average pool Bimbo?
Those tickets are starting to look like a bargain now, no?
There were simulated sex acts, and lots of very suggestive dancing. BOING!
That is stuff that you don’t get at the typical topless show.
At the topless shows, the boobs speak for themselves. ??Here I am, stare at me while the lady who owns me lip-syncs?.
Not so at Fashionistas. They are more than happy to get into slinky lingerie and bury their face in each others crotch. It kind of like porn without everyone being nude.
And the quality of the girls make you forget that they are not topless, because you are too busy watching the ultra-hot girls grope each other’s asses.
These may very well be the most attractive show-women in Vegas.
Okay, there are also shirtless dudes in the show, and I would have been happier without them, but they were talented and danced well. I guess if dudes had to be there, they may as well be decent at their job.
So the plot follows the line of the guy putting a web cam on various fetish scenarios and making a successful website out of it with his willing models. It was as good a plot as any.
The music was mostly high-energy rock, with some softer ballads and some artsy dancing thrown in. All of the performers were actually excellent dancers, which is what I imagine is their actual profession. And I don’t mean dancers as in ??Hey, want a lapdance?? dancers … I mean Broadway quality dancers.
They also had two couples who would do stunts on a rope suspended to the sides of the audience. They were also good.
Fashionistas was kind of like ??Fantasy? meets ??Zumanity? meets ??Erocktica?.
It may very well be the most erotic of the shows in Vegas, even sans the bare skin. Not saying there wasn’t bare skin … there were lots of thongs and barely-there bras). The suggestiveness and surprising attractiveness of the girls combined made me forget that I wasn’t actually seeing nipples.
And yes, I did get a boner. Several in fact.
Simply put, I was very entertained by the show. I would consider it underrated. It’s got a more kink to it than ??La Femme?, and is easily as arousing as a full on topless show.
It’s kind of one of those things that you have to actually see to understand.
It’s an easy walk from Planet Aladdin and the MGM, and discounted tickets can be easily obtained.
Calling the show ??unique? would be an understatement. Sure it’s a bit cheesy and gratuitous, but that’s the point. It’s another one of those ??only in Las Vegas? shows.
That being the case, if you are in Las Vegas … see the show.
It’s much better than I thought it would be, and I am betting that you will feel the same way.
