Carrot Top

I felt like a complete white-trash douchebag while standing in line to see Carrot Top (who am I kidding, I always feel like a white-trash douchebag) , but I came out of his show extraordinarily surprised.

I scored front-row seats to the show, and give this thing a solid 10 out of 10 for pure entertainment value.

This show is nothing like you have seen him do on TV. It is a completely different show. The stuff he does on Leno is not even remotely representative of his live show. The Luxor gig is a non-stop, high-energy, rapid-fire machine gun of punchlines, sight gags, stand-up, impressions, and every kind of comedy you can think of.

Carrot Top does a very topical, current, and thoroughly entertaining show (admittedly with a wide assortment of dildos thrown in). The price is very reasonable too. Dollar for Dollar, it is currently the best show in Vegas, IMHO. He even does some quite intellectual humor … evidenced by the fact that half of the audience didn’t get them … “Hey Maw, what is that ‘Dick Cheney’ thing that orange haired feller just mentioned?”

It’s not all juvenile gags. The man puts A LOT of thought into his routine, and you just might be shocked that some of the jokes actually go over your head … which you later get on the way home, right before cursing the fact that Carrot Top is more intellectual than you are.

If it sounds like I am gushing, I apologize. I really am not that easily amused. Most comedy shows bore me to tears. But I had to fight back laughing out loud through most of the show, as it was just that damn funny.

No matter how funny the jokes are, straight stand-up comedy can just get a bit monotonous … no matter how good the comic is. They stand up at the mic, and tell insightful jokes … which is all well and good. But do you really need to be in their physical presence to appreciate it? Probably not. What you see on the HBO specials is pretty much what you get when you see the comics in concert. Not so for CT. Carrot Top is the only comedian that you actually have to see in person to fully appreciate.

Carrot Top never lets you get bored, because if you didn’t laugh at the last routine, fear not, in 2 seconds you will have completely new material being launched at you. I didn’t see a whole 60 seconds elapse without at least half of the crowd laughing. He does a full-on SHOW with lots of visuals and audio effects. The theater is also set up so you are close to the stage from practically anywhere.

This is easily, and I mean EASILY the most underrated show in Las Vegas.

I have yet to see the same Vegas show twice, but I am already planning to go back to this one. It was so fast that I am sure there were many things that I missed the first time around. It really puts you in a good mood, too.

I cannot recommend this show highly enough.

I’ve wanted to see this show since it open in Vegas and no one will go with me because they don’t get Carrot Top. Carrot Top won me over years ago when he crafted a microphone with a crack pipe on the other end for Whitney Houston. The man is creative and intelligent!

    Hi,
My name is Verbal Ase and I’m only 23 years
old but I have been making a lot of connections in Las Vegas regarding
    show buisness.
I am a performer in Las Vegas. (for 7 years now) I’m a
beatboxer/musicion with props like Carrot top and I was trying to see if I can maybe
contact some of his people to get help/guidence to becoming a better
performer. If you know anyone that can help me that is in show buisness, I
would really appreciate it. Thank you so much for your time and I have a resume reasdy to e-mail as well.
    Have a great day. =]
