Reports are that the room spreads mostly 3/6 limit and low blind NL cash games. The Aladdin is very popular for frequent low buy-in tournaments. Check the official website for current schedule.
Comments 11/11/2006: The Aladdin Poker Room is no longer a “room” per-se. It is now a roped-off area upstairs, in what is, IMHO, a very awkward spot. Of course, this is likely to change since they are in the process of converting themselves from the Aladdin to “Planet Hollywood’, and this may just be a temporary change until they really spec out a cool new poker room. But as of right now, the whole thing seems very temporary.
The games are still being run well, and they are still fun. The dealers and staff are friendly and competent, and the room is still full of calling stations. They have tournaments running pretty frequently, and the Aladdin/Planet Hollywood is still a very fine place to play poker.
I am pretty sure it is going to change from it’s current incarnation, though. When? I don’t know.
I will update this page as soon as they figure out the new scheme.
Update 4/15/2007:
The Planet Hollywood conversion is nearly complete, and the Poker Room has been moved to the entrance of the casino and has undergone a major upgrade. Definitely superior to the previous room. This is what it looks like now:
