Comments: A surprisingly nice Poker Room for an older casino with a “Circus” theme.

Althouth the CC is often the punchline to many a Las Vegas joke, the fact is that it really is a fine property. Especially given it’s age. And the Poker Room which is located at the main entrance to the casino is not opulent or cutting edge, but it is certainly a competent card room where a Full House still Beats a Flush.

Like I’ve always said, I’d rather win at the Sahara than lose at the Bellagio, and the the same goes for Circus Circus. A fine room, competent dealers, average bingo competition, but fun nonetheless. They don’t spread my favorite game, and I make it to this room often, but when I do, I always try to play some hands just to show some appreciation for the room.

Phil Ivey spottings don’t happen, but this room more than holds it’s own for the low-rolling poker player. If you play small, and don’t worry about snide remarks as to where you play … play this room, you might be pleasantly surprised.
