The Wynn buffet is a favorite of ours. Their selection is great, except in the dessert department. They could use a better dessert selection. The quality of their food is superb. They really took they time to make the best food with the best ingredients. We usually go around 3pm and stay for dinner, it’s $10 less per person. Their open shell crab legs are not too salty and every dish is perfectly seasoned. Some of the wait staff speak very little English, so they may take your plate even when you’re not through with it. Sometimes, they leave your empty plates on your table for a while. Other than that, the rooms are bright and cheery, and the staff are quite friendly. It’s hard not to stuff yourself with their delicious selection. The food is prepared in an appetizing manner and displayed neatly. Some things that I would recommend are: New England Clam Chowder, Corn and Crab Chowder, Leg of Lamb, Crab Legs, Salmon Sushi, and Strawberry Shortcake. One thing that we noticed upon returning home was and additional 20% debit to our credit card, when we had left cash for tip. I called and spoke with a receptionist and she told me that they will readjust the amount within 3 business days, which they did. This was standard practice for credit card paying patrons. This didn’t make any sense to us. Basically, keep a close eye on your credit card statement.

The only thing I disagreed with is the comment that Wynn doesn’t have much of a dessert selection. We saw so many desserts. I see you even have a picture of the candy apples. I had one of those. This was our favorite buffet by far. The atmosphere was beautiful and service was fabulous. Everything was delicious, including the chunky garlic mashed potatoes, omelettes, teriaki beef, Kobe meatballs….My son and I just looked at all these pictures and it brought back memories. We still talk about this buffet about once a week, and it’s been months since our trip!

Thanks for your review Kim. I have a huge sweet tooth, and since the review was mine, of course it’s subjective. I was just comparing Wynn’s dessert selection with Paris, Bellagio, Mirage, Rio, and Aladdin’s, a few comparables. The selection quality is up there, but many of them are repetitive and half of them are not “my” favorite. They don’t even have cheesecake, which is one of my favorite desserts. I think Paris’ Le Village Buffet has the best selection of desserts, quantity and quality. Overall though, both my husband and I feel that Wynn’s Buffet is the best on the Strip for its price.

Outstanding buffet and it’s honestly just barely de-throwned my longtime favorite, the Bellagio (which was the highlight of every Vegas vacation…even though I still feel the Bellagio is #1 on Friday+Saturday nights) The king crab they use is larger and of higher quality (somehow) than other hotels and everything they put out is completely gourmet. The dessert section is okay, but the Crepes they serve on the weekend with the fresh berries more than makes up for the selection…I try not to eat pizza at a high class buffet because you can find decent pizza for cheap pretty much anywhere, but the pizza here was delicious and was a thin-handtossed authentic italian style. Everything here is great.

I agree with Aaron The Wynn and Bellagio are 1-2 and can be argued which is one and which is two. I vote 1a and 1b.

I really liked this buffet the first couple of times we tried it, especially if you get a seat in the conservatory. I thought everything was wonderful.

However on our last visit, May 2006, I was disappointed. The hot food was barely warm, although the cold food was still good. The quality is still excellent, but I like my hot food hot.

Too expensive to risk being disappointed again.

I agree, over $40 is a lot to ask for dinner, and I find myself not going here as often when I don’t have friends in town, I’ve found I can get great meals in vegas for 25% of the price…they do have the best crab legs in town, however.

Absolutely took my breath away! Sumptious - I am running out of superlatives! I agree with the comment that the dessert selection needed improving but I did enjoy a lovely bowl of bread and butter pudding! Beautiful dinning room too, but some of the seating was quite away from the servery.
