(Fantasy Market) The only reason why we’ve dined here was for its convenience. My husband accumulated points and received complimentary buffets. Anyway, I can’t complain when it was “free”, but I will anyway. This was one of the worst buffets, considering the popularity of Palms. I figured it should at least be decent, but it wasn’t. The selection was sparce and what they did have, lacked taste or was just too salty. Actually, their Greek station was decent. That’s what I filled up on. As they say, you get what you pay for. Don’t waste your time unless you happen to be staying at the hotel.

We finally got to try the remodeled Bistro Buffet. They definitely improved on food quality, selection, and dining room ambiance. I would have to say that they are a good mid-quality buffet at an average price.

We had their Sunday Brunch, which included all of the traditional choices such as bacon, waffles, pancakes, sausages, chicken fingers, smoked salmon, and the less traditional potato pancakes, cheese blitzes, peppered fried battered shrimp (fried shrimp), beer batter fried cod, steamed hot split king crab legs, country fried biscuit w/ homestyle gravy, and unagi sushi. I especially enjoyed their fried shrimp (perfectly flavored and crisp), hot steamed king crab legs (not too salty and hot - most are cold/frozen), and for dessert their key lime cheesecake (I’m partial toward cheesecake). They did away with their Greek Station (a regular reader mentioned that it is available during weekday dinners - thanks Aaron), which was my favorite before the renovation, however, everything else was an improvement from their Fantasy Market Buffet, although their salad bar could use more selection. The addition of the cappuccino machine is a definite plus. Great to accompany dessert.

The service is about the same, good. The dining room set up is nice, nothing unusual, but prettier than before, with mainly green and orange coloring/decor. This buffet it now worth trying out if you’re in the area. Definitely not comparable w/ Wynn or Bellagio, but more along the lines of Flamingo or Hilton. Oh, there was no line to get in, and for a Sunday Brunch, that’s rare. The dining room was only 1/3 full, so many are probably unaware of its improvements.

I figured it was bad. Not only does it get poor ratings, I passed by one evening at 7:00 PM and it was nearly empty. It did not look like an appealing place to eat. Guess you really get what you pay for.

not a bad place…selection wasn’t like others but they have hot KING crab legs on the buffet for dinner at only $16.99 Also, the best fried shrimp I ever had…few desserts I had were good. The carving station wasn’t like the meat at bellagio or Wynn…but much improved since the last reviews before they remodeled. Also, outstanding cappacino/coffee machine….I think they had like 8 hot flavored coffees to drink with dessert, mocha, etc…really nice touch. I will be back.

    Aaron,

Thanks for sharing your review. We finally tried the new buffet today and it was pretty good. Better than I expected actually.

Their hot steamed king crab legs and fried shrimp were my favorites as well. You should try the key lime cheesecake next time you’re there if you haven’t yet, especially if you like cheesecake.

    Hey VR,

They actually do have a greek station, you just have to go for dinner during the week. I will be back to this place again…so far cheapest place to get king crab and HOT too! Buy one get one free coupon? How’d you manage to find that? =)

    Aaron,

Got it. We’ll have to check out their dinner during the week sometime. Yeah, I agree that for the price including hot steamed king crab legs that are split, it’s a good deal.

If you have their player’s card, they mail you a coupon book every month or two, and the buffet coupons are in the book. BTW, if you dine alone, that coupon will take half of your price instead. You need to present your player’s card and coupon for the discount.
