Overall, Harrah’s buffet was better than expected. We had their Saturday Brunch, and got in line around 3:30pm and figured we’d stay until dinner, as usual. They were the same price. There were only 8 people in front of us, so we figured the wait would be brief. We were mistaken. The only tables available were in the smoking section, and no one wanted to be seated there so the line got longer, while everyone waited for a table in the non-smoking section to become available. The head hostess was very polite and apologized. After 25 minutes or so, we were seated. The cashier takes your drink order so be prepared. The dining area was of average size as well as their buffet. The lights were a little dim, but complimented the softness of the decor. The stations were laid out well and were easy to view and access. The service was above average, except for not picking up plates right away a couple of times, they were great. We were surprised to find open-shelled crab legs. This was never advertised or mentioned anywhere. They were not in the same league as Wynn’s, Bellagio’s, or Paris’, but they were convenient to eat nonetheless. They had the usual Brunch fare and when they switched over to dinner, they had a fried seafood station, which included delicious fried oysters. I’m not an oyster fan by any means, but these were really good. I’d also recommend not stuffing yourself with the cold crab legs and waiting for the warm steamed open-shelled crab legs. These were much tastier. Their BBQ station was well stocked. They had ribs, prime rib, various chicken parts to whole chicken, sausage, ham, and various bbq-ed vegetables. I was most pleased with their dessert station. The selection was close to many of the high end buffets. They had root beer floats, many flavors of gelato, a chocolate fountain with many treats (my husband’s favorite was strawberries) on sticks to smother in chocolate, and our daughters’ favorite was their over-sized waffle cones. They both got chocolate with various toppings and then indulged. I had their root beer float which hit the spot. If you’re interested in a mid-priced buffet with a good selection of food to satisfy your hunger, without having to wait too long in line, give Flavors a try.

Do you have a preference between Harrahs buffet and TI? You remarked on TI’s great dessert selection…Harrahs looks pretty impressive too!

You’re welcome Kim. Thanks for your useful comments as well.

My personal preference is TI for two reasons. First, TI’s food quality and presentation is excellent. Second, there was no line whatsoever to get in.

This is my new favourite buffet. Since Harrah’s re-opened it as Flavors it is much improved with an excellent quality and choice.

Have tried it twice for breakfast and wasn’t disappointed. Will be trying it again for breakfast and dinner on our upcoming visit in May.
