The “New” Old Rio Show - Part II
I happened to catch another show from the Rio. Instead of watching it from the front of the stage as usual, this time I caught it from the upper balcony quite by accident.
This was the first time I have seen it since the first week of re-opening, and not much has been changed.
I didn’t go for the show, it just happened to be in progress as I was happening by.
The quality of this one is so hideously bad, that I am kind of embarrassed to put it up. Forgive me, I only had a small pocket camera with me this time.
Nevertheless, it beats the hell out of trying to verbally describe it, and you still get some idea of what it looks like.
And hey, at least it was a new song.
I still don’t see much of a change between the old show and the new show. My companions on this trip swore up and down that this new one is far superior and naughtier, but I don’t agree. I am hard pressed to tell the difference.
If anything, the new show still seems to show less skin than the more family friendly “old”one, but maybe I’m just missing something.
If you haven’t seen them yet, and you would like to compare/contrast the two versions of the show in higher quality, here are the previous ones I took with a better camera.
The very last performance of the “old” show is here:

And one of the first performances of the “new” show is here:

If you watch them one after the other, you can compare the two quite easily. Was it an upgrade or a revamp?
To me … not really.
If you see much of a difference, then you are far more of a connosuir of these types of shows than I am.
I still think they should just go topless and pack the tourists in.
In my opinion, they still leave far too much to the imagination.
But hey, at least the Fashionistas dude got a new gig, as did the guy from Bottoms Up II.
It’s good to see that some familiar faces are still employed.
