Shazbot! It’s Really Leaving

At least I think “Shazbot” is what Klingons say. Or maybe it’s “Nanoo Nanoo”.
I can’t understand our local Mexican population, what hope do I have of keeping up with our intergalactic immigrants?
Anyway, after 11 years at the Hilton … which is extremely long by Vegas standards, the Star Trek Experience will be closing its doors on September 1st, 2008.
The Hilton has not yet announced what will replace the STE, but rumors close to the property say that they are eager to retain the 30 year old virgin demographic.
In arguably one of the most bizarre press releases I have ever read, the PR Director of the attraction (Chad Boutte) released the following statement … and I swear I am not making up a single word of it:
Hailing frequencies open. We’d like to thank all the fans and friends of Star Trek, whose constant and amazing support we’ve enjoyed throughout our tenure at the Las Vegas Hilton. As we boldly go into the futures that await, know that we take your love of ‘Star Trek: The Experience’ with us. We share the memories of time spent in the most unique place in the Galaxy, and we carry those memories into our futures with us. Live long and prosper. Hailing frequencies closed.
Hailing frequencies what???
What in the hell is he talking about?
I think Chad is already subliminally promoting his newest venture: “LSD: The Experience”
