Pedestrians Struck Near Gameworks

Nearly a dozen people were hit by a car on Sunday on the sidewalk near Gameworks.
I’ve heard conflicting reports.
This much is consistent … a car occupied by four “African-American” males swerved over on Las Vegas Boulevard and hit “approximately ten” pedestrians who were on the sidewalk.
Nobody was killed, but several of the pedestrians were taken to the hospital with injuries.
After it struck the people on the sidewalk, the car took off.
The next part is where it gets sketchy.
Some people are saying that the driver turned himself in to the police. Others are saying that the car was found abandoned about a half mile from the scene, and the driver is still being sought.
Some people are just saying “The driver’s Vegas was showing” and are laughing it off.
But you’ll never catch me making fun of such a fine, well-conceived slogan.
No word yet on how the occupants were known to have dual African and American citizenship. Or if “Africa” is even a country that one can be from, but far be it from me to question such intellectual matters.
Anyway, when in Vegas, watch where you are walking.
Remember, in Nevada, cars always have the right of way on the sidewalk.
Update: The driver, Rome Jefferson, turned himself in and was cited for a variety of infractions, including driving without a license.
