Wind, Clouds, Thunder, and Rain

Raining in Las Vegas

Kind of sounds like a band formed by the disgruntled members of Earth, Wind, and Fire … but it’s actually what’s happening right here, right now.

I happened to do some news channel surfing early this morning, and I didn’t see ANYONE predict rain.

Nobody.

Not even a 10% chance. Hell, not even a .5% chance.

I have no doubt that they will retroactively predict it tonight, or rationalize it in some obscure way citing the misalignment of Venus and Mars, or something.

Face it, VegasRex is vindicated again.

Update:

Okay, I was watching just to see how they would cover it.

This is how the Channel 8 weatherbimbo spun it:

“We forecasted the wind!  We didn’t forecast the rain, but boy did we need it!  Aren’t you glad we got it?”

It was as if she threw Las Vegas a surprise party or something.  Almost like it was a huge favor.

Apparently, we are supposed to celebrate their gross inaccuracy.

At least that is their official position.

To top it off, they put “possible storm” in big bold letters for next Monday and Tuesday.

I promise you that there will be no storm.

They are just trying to cover for the fact that they didn’t put “10% chance of rain” on today’s forecast.
