Are you implying that Caesar’s does not recognize the King of Las Vegas when they see him?

They more lenient with the new area?

Seriously, the staff in that area seems very cool and don’t seem to be as anal as some other pits. The girls appear to be having a good time, and everyone seems to realize that the purpose of the area is for everyone to relax and have a good time, and they aren’t as overbearing as some of the other pits.

I talked to several members of the staff there, and they were all very pleasant.

And really, that’s the way it should be.

If not for camera-toting dorks and tourists, the place wouldn’t be profitable.

It’s an attraction, and they realize it.

As long as you have a handheld, and are not lugging a bunch of professional audio/video gear on your shoulder, they leave you alone as long as you are not being a pest or getting in the way. It also helps to actually play some games and tip your people.

And if some of them are familiar with you, all the better.

I like the way they manage the Dolls Pit. It’s inviting, and it makes you want to go back. Unlike some of the more overbearing and less interesting pits that I am sure we have all encountered.

It is currently my table game venue of choice, and I highly recommend playing there.

As always you seem to get the right shots. We are not worthy, however very appreciative of your excellent lens work.

I don’t think managing my hard on would help remembering basic strategy. Great pics and video.

What games do they have there, and what are the limits? Are the Blackjack rules horrendous or at least reasonable? I am normally a black-chip player at Mirage or MGM, but I might check this place out next time I hit town. Any cover to get in?

    Thanks!

Blackjack and Roulette are the primary games. Although they have a table or two of other games here and there depending on the night, like that vertical spinning wheel thing (the name escapes me at the moment … probably because I never play it).

Odds are standard 6/5. Unfortunately, that is now standard on the Vegas Strip for mid-roll tables.

Caesar’s IS a Harrah’s property don’t forget … and favorable odds is not their strongest suit. Though they sometimes make up for it in entertainment.

This pit is not a high-roll area. It is part of a promotion to the Pure nightclub (where the Pussycat Dolls Perform on the weekend), and it is situated directly outside of the nightclub.

It’s some eye candy for the people who are waiting to get inside the club, and for people who want a break from the normal pit experience.

You can certainly play black chips here ($25 BJ is pretty standard) … but it’s certainly not the VIP area. Anyone can play, and you get a lot of mid-rollers betting the minimums.

The pit opens at 9pm and closes in the early morning hours. There is no cover to get in. The area is not enclosed. Just walk past the sports book … walk past the poker room … and there you are. Standing in the “Pussycat Casino”.

Just walk up to a table and start playing. It’s pretty laid back.

I suggest playing it at least once and see how you like it.

    You just might enjoy yourself.

If your goal is simply to play the best odds possible in Vegas, I would play the big stack in the MGM/Mirage Black Chip tables, but save a small stack for this pit.

Take it for what it is. A fun pit with tourist odds … with tits and ass cheeks a few feet from your face.

That’s worth giving up a percentage point to the house, no?
