VegasRex … The Las Vegas Night Rider
I hope Hasselhoff doesn’t get pissed that I stole his title. Then again, he’s wearing a dress now … so what the fuck do I care?
As some of you know, I recently purchased a motor scooter. It looks much like a Vespa, but it’s a much less expensive model made in Asia. Sure it will probably require a little more maintenance than the Vespa (which you pay through the nose for), but it’s my bike and I like it. Black … just like “Kit” the talking car. 150cc’s and a max speed of 60Mph, give or take a few Mph. That’s more than enough to get around the strip. And I never venture more than 2 or 3 miles from The Strip. Nobody should.
So when I stepped outside at 9pm last night and the air temperature was still 82 degrees, I figured “what better way to cap off the day than with a night ride up The Strip?”
I could think of nothing better.
I don’t know why more people don’t rent scooters in Vegas instead of cars. It really is the only way to see the city. Next time you are in town, do yourself a favor, and forgo the rental car and get a scooter for a day.
I saw the Mirage Volcano going off, so I just pulled over and watched it while sitting on the scooter. Same with the Bellagio Fountains.
You never have to look for parking either.
It’s the only way to go I tell you.
Anyway, here are some pictures and videos of my night ride. I’ll add some more pictures tomorrow. I’m tired.
