As I have stated about a million times, I am a frequent Las Vegas Monorail rider. One of only … well …. one on planet earth.

This thing is my lifeline up and down the strip.

As a matter of fact, I think all of the monorail’s revenue is derived from me personally.

During my many days roaming The Strip, I came to realize that the vast majority of Las Vegas visitors and locals alike have never set foot on the rail.

Not that I can blame them due to the many gaffes made by the system’s owners, not the least being the incredibly high fare, and lack of service to more strip properties.

But I’ve learned over the years to make pretty good use of it nonetheless.

But for those of you who, for whatever reason, have never taken the monorail, I decided to record my last trip from the Las Vegas Convention Center to the Flamingo Hotel and Casino.

Was this a goofy, gratuitous and useless endeavor?

Yes it was.
