Hanging out on the Strip yesterday, I noticed something very sad.
I am still used to seeing the Stardust from various vantage points around town, but this time I noticed something very different.
All of the windows have been completely smashed out to prepare the iconic hotel for implosion.
If you look closely, you will notice that you can see right through the hotel … in through the front and out the back.
I wish they would just go ahead and get it over with, because letting the Stardust stand in this condition borders on Las Vegas blasphemy.
Come on guys, don’t keep the coffin open too long, give the ‘dust a quick, proper and respectful burial.
The implosion is currently scheduled for mid-March 2007.
