Happy 2007 From Las Vegas

New Year's in Las VegasHappy New Year from Fabulous Las Vegas, Nevada.

Okay, we got some video of most of The Strip fireworks. We were a few blocks east of the Strip, and about 50 feet up. Our camera really, really sucks at night shots, but what are you gonna do …

It also lost focus on some of the closeups.

We had cellphone towers, power lines, non-casino buildings, and all kinds of other obstructions between us and the works, but dammit, at least we didn’t have to stand in the middle of the crowd in 37 degree weather.

Been there, done that.

We took the comfortable route this year.

We could view the main fireworks (at least the ones shot reasonably high) from the MGM to T.I. The fireworks were shortened this year from 8 minutes to 5 minutes.

If you want to see the unimpressive blurry video we got of the works, feel free to check it out. The video is 5 minutes long, but the best part is the last 2 minutes, so don’t lose complete faith during the lulls in action.

Here you go:

We hope you had a happy, safe, and enjoyable New Year’s Eve. Hopefully you were able to spend it here in Vegas … The Greatest City on Earth.

Best of luck in ‘07.
